Bistro Campagne is looking for talented front of house staff to join our team. Bistro Campagne has been a staple of the Lincoln Square neighborhood since we opened in 2002. We are a bistro in the truest sense of the word, inspired by classic French cuisine with a midwest approach and a love of local, seasonal products. Ideal candidates will possess at least 2 years of experience in a professional dining environment with an outgoing, friendly, and dynamic personality.
We are seeking candidates for a FULL or PART TIME Food Runner position that will work in a supportive team environment. Experience with French food is a plus, but we are always willing to train the right person.
Runners are responsible for assisting the service team in exceeding the guest’s expectations. Teamwork, organization and good awareness are necessary for success in this position.
Essential Functions:
- Available to work nights and weekends
- Stocking the kitchen before, during, and after service
- Communicating with Chef and Managers and following their direction
- Working with a team of fellow runners, BOH, and FOH staff
- Ability to multitask calmly and effectively in a busy & sometimes stressful environment
- Work in a confined, crowded space of variable noise and temperature levels
- Able to move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven or slick surfaces

- Greet guests with a warm, sincere smile
- Follow all steps of service
- Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures

- Get along well with others and be a team player
- Other duties will be assigned as needed
Qualifications, Education & Behavior:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Punctual, professional, reliable
- At least 2 years of restaurant experience
- Ability to work quickly while maintaining safety standards and procedures
- Ability to work consistent schedule at least 4 days per week
- Food Handler Certificate
