We are currently seeking an experienced Front of House Shift Leader to join our Hole In the Wall Flatiron location. If you have been a Lead Server, Lead Bartender, Lead Barista or are simply someone who has years of experience working in restaurants and is looking to take on more responsibility, then this job is for you!
Our Front of House Shift Leader will serve as the right hand person to our General Manager and will help give guidance to our other staff on the floor. In this role, you will be required to work on the floor alongside our Servers, Bartenders and Baristas and interact with guests regularly. When you are not on the floor taking orders and serving guests, you will work alongside our General Manager to ensure other vital aspects of running the business are getting done! These additional responsibilities could range from taking inventory of product, placing orders for items to be delivered to the restaurant, closing out cash procedures at the end of the shift and more. Responsibilties:
- Greeting guests when they first arrive and assisting with seating
- Taking food and drink orders from guests and inputting orders into the POS
- Running food and drinks, bussing tables when guests leave
- Taking inventory of alcohol, paper goods, coffee, etc.
- Placing orders for alcohol, paper goods, coffee, etc.
- Serving as a leader to less experience staff on the floor when it comes to delivering a great guest experience, upselling, making use of slow periods
- Closing out the cash drawer at the end of each shift
- Training up new employees
- Keeping up constant communication with General Manager on any restaurant needs, incidents in the front of house, training opportunities for staff, recognition for those going above and beyond!
Requirements to fill this Role:
- Minimum 4 years experience working in high volume restaurants
- Minimum 1 year experience in a leadership role preferred!
- Ability to work across positions (Server/Bartender/Barista) preferred
- Service style that is knowledgeable, approachable, efficient, energetic, and thoughtful at all times
- Positive/friendly attitude and ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work 6-8 hour shifts and be on feet for majority of your shift
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage menus
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly Rate: $13 - $15 + tips!
