Job Description:
As a Line Cook at Jerk At Nite, you will play a vital role in our kitchen operations, ensuring the efficient and consistent preparation of our menu items. Your primary responsibilities will include food preparation, cooking, plating, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in your station. You will work closely with the kitchen team, following recipes and procedures to ensure the highest quality of food is served to our valued guests.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to our recipes, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and smooth service during busy periods.
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces.
- Set up and stock your station with the necessary ingredients and equipment before service.
- Maintain accurate records of food quantities and waste to manage inventory effectively.
- Adhere to established health and safety standards, including proper handling and storage of ingredients.
- Cooperate and communicate with the kitchen team to ensure timely execution of orders and smooth teamwork.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper rotation of perishable items.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred.
- Solid understanding of basic cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
