The Moonlighter in Logan Square is looking for a Dishwasher that can work 5 days a week, some week night and weekends!! Getting busy for the summer and need to add someone to our already dynamic team!!! Looking for a team player and someone with full-time availability!
Position Summary: The dishwasher oversees washing and cleaning service ware (flatware, plate ware, glassware) and kitchen equipment (pots, pans, and other miscellaneous equip.) They work with a sense of urgency and have a courteous working attitude. They will maintain a clean and organized work area in line with the Scofflaw standard.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Operate and utilize the dish machine and cleaning supplies with a sense of urgency to prevent any backup
- Wash, sanitize and air dry all kitchen utensils, equipment and other items placed in the dish area or as requested by Management and Staff
- Maintains a cheerful, courteous disposition and a neat, clean and professional image
- Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment with proper training
- Return and restock all items to appropriate area after washing and sanitizing procedures are completed
- Maintain dishwashing machinery and communicate any potential issues
- Empty garbage cans and remove refuse to proper location
- Ability to effectively communicate to perform and follow job requirements
- Ability to do a variety of task calmly and effectively in a busy, and sometimes demanding environment
- Adheres to all federal, local & company safety and sanitation policies and procedures
- Able to move and lift to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for an up to 8 – 10 hours and move safely through all areas of the establishment. which may include stairs, irregular or slippery surfaces
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to be flexible with job demands and open minded when being asked to complete tasks
- Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the restaurant
- Ability to move or handle equipment throughout the restaurant generally weighing 0-50 pounds
- Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates
- Ability to stand for up to 8-10 hours a day.
