The Caterist is searching for a motivated sous chef to join our talented kitchen team. This is a leadership position where you will be following and enforcing our company requirements and guidelines under the direction of the executive chef. Our ideal candidate is a creative professional who is willing to participate in creating delicious seasonal menus and meal designs.
Your duties will include training new employees, helping meet client needs, and developing new menu options. You should have excellent communication skills with in-depth knowledge of several cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and processes. Previous experience with off-site serviced catering is required, this includes cave or hot box cooking.
Responsibilities under the direction of the executive chef and other company leadership:
High school diploma or equivalent trade school Type: Full-timeThis job is based at our commissary kitchen in Avondale- 3517 Spaulding Ave however our events are all over the city and surrounding suburbs. Dependable transportation is required.
Compensation: Salary ($48,000.00 - $51,000.00) plus tips
