The AGM / Floor Manager, in collaboration with other members of the leadership team, will communicate standards and practices for the restaurant to ensure a high-performing and fulfilled team. They work closely with the management team to drive service each day and inspire team members to work together and hold one another accountable to the standards set. They educate and support the service team to create the best dining experience for all guests and the best work environment and experience for all employees. The AGM reports to the General Manager.
What you’ll do:

Cultivate a culture of authentic hospitality that supports our business objectives and growth.

Work the service floor daily in the restaurant & bar, while leading staff performance and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Maintain excellence and cleanliness of all restaurant spaces.

Foster positive working relationships with both managers and hourly staff throughout service periods, ensuring effective and timely communication.

Educate service staff on all aspects of food, beverage, & beer production through daily preshift meetings and tastings.

Work with beverage management to conduct, reconcile and submit month end beverage inventory (not required for all managers.)

Remain current and compliant with the correct HR practices and policies, hold employees accountable to all standards and practices, evaluating and/or follow disciplinary procedures when necessary.

Validate that the payroll process is completed accurately, on time, and according to business/accounting procedures (not required for all managers.)

Ensure Health Department compliance for all front-of-house spaces.

Provide feedback and guidance with excellence and hospitality in mind, ensuring that all team members have a pathway for growth and development.

Work both opening and closing shifts as needed.

Consistently look for internal and external candidates to build our growing team.
What we’re looking for:
-
3+ years of experience in hospitality, restaurants, hotels, bars, or breweries.

1+ years of experience in a management role in the above industries.

Above-average food and beverage knowledge.

Strong interest in craft beer.

Excellent verbal & written communication.

Understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred.
-
NYC Food Handler’s Certificate (or commitment to get one in your first 90 days.)

Fluency in English is required. Basic to conversational Spanish is also helpful.

Annual compensation range of $65,000 - $75,000 based on experience.
