Duties and Responsibilities
A Cafe Assitant General Manager’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Exemplify hospitality and company standards
- Passion for training and developing staff
- Set an exciting tone and display a strong work ethic, able to motivate team members towards a common goal
- Calm demeanor and positive attitude
- Ensures all standards and procedures are being met by each team member
- Have total knowledge of each position’s responsibilities
- Have general knowledge and awareness of the floor and what is needed at any given time
- Responds proactively in solving guest issues and guest satisfaction
- Delegate and complete tasks that need to get done for the day
- Keep the team moving, checking consistency and cleanliness throughout a shift
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of all menu items, including allergens, preparation, etc.
- Constantly growing and improving on systems/procedures/organization
- Daily and weekly ordering
- Creating a schedule based on team’s availability and needs of the cafe
- Interviewing and hiring a staff based on the needs of the cafe
- Able to educate and effectively communicate information to all staff members
- Abe to assist in counting inventory
- Understanding of cash handling i.e. opening/closing a drawer and counting cash
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience managing a fast-paced cafe
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic math skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English required
- Must be able to lift and/or move items up to 30 lbs without assistance
- Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods
- Regularly requires to handle hot and cold food and beverages
- Flexibility to work various shifts, weekend availability is required

Compensation Details
Compensation: Salary ($60,000.00 - $70,000.00)
