We’re currently seeking a Cashier / Assistant Manager to help with taking and preparing orders, receiving and disbursing money, and a host of other responsibilities. We require a minimum of 5 years of restaurant management experience and 2+ years of general restaurant experience.

As an assistant manager, you will learn all the roles of operation; cashier and scooper. Your main role is cashier; secondary, you will be covering the manager when they are off.

As a cashier, you are the first interaction our customers have with our brand when ordering. Having a positive, confident, and inviting personality is key to welcoming customers as they place their order. The position consists of receiving and disbursing money in a professional manner, using POS systems and related equipment to process credit/debit cards and smart pay transactions.

CASHIER POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greeting customers arriving at the walk-up window.
• Confirming customer orders accurately, efficiently and effectively.
• Receive payment by cash, credit/debit cards, smart pay, gift card.
• Issue receipts, refunds, or change due to customers.
• Assist customers by providing information about our product and services.
• Assist customers by answering and resolving any questions they have about Ava's and our products.
• Answer customer questions and provide information on our mission and values.
• Complete open and closing tasks at the start and end of each shift. Following provided procedures.
• Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas and complete other general cleaning duties, such as washing buckets, windows and bathroom maintenance.
• Maintain working knowledge of Ava's standards and respect for self, others and our customers.
• Perform all duties assigned to the best of your ability and going above to complete these duties.

SCOOPER POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receive order as they come in and prepare.
• Give out customer orders following the Ava's standards on presentation
• Assist customers by providing information about our product and services.
• Complete open and closing tasks at the start and end of each shift. Following provided procedures.
• Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas and complete other general cleaning duties, such as washing buckets, windows and bathroom maintenance.
• Maintain working knowledge of Ava's standards and respect for self, others and our customers.
• Perform all duties assigned to the best of your ability and going above to complete these duties.

Compensation:

Salary : $35,000/yr  (we cannot offer benefits at this time)

We are seasonal; operating March to December. Guaranteed 4 weeks paid time off when we are closed for season. (December and January closed, start back in February for season open prep)

Open daily with Spring months March, April, May (2:00 pm - 7:00 pm), Summer months June, July, August (2:00 pm - 9:00 pm) and Fall months September, October, November (2:00 pm - 7:00 pm) hours.
