Altamarea Group, an award winning global hospitality firm with 15 restaurants worldwide, is looking for a fun-loving, energetic, and passionate FOH Restaurant Floor Manager to join the team, in a multi-unit role Osteria Morini in the Navy Yard and Nicoletta Italian Kitchen in Mount Vernon Triangle.

Our restaurants offer managers an opportunity to work with high-quality Italian cuisine and wine/spirits and an operations team firmly committed to investing in and developing talent. Altamarea Group (highly-acclaimed NYC favorites Marea and Ai Fiori), through its talented team of employees, creates special memories through exceptional hospitality, delivering the highest level of food and service across distinct brands and concepts.

Manager Responsibilities include:

  • Train, develop, and motivate all staff
  • Organize, supervise and execute shifts
  • Deliver superior service and optimize client dining experience on a daily, consistent basis
  • Demonstrate an emphasis on driving business while improving quality and guest retention
  • Performing high level of customer/guest service and guest interaction by exhibiting a friendly personality and engaging guests consistently

Manager Requirements:

  • Must have open availability able to work flexible hours
  • Strong background in fine dining and knowledge of service standards
  • Adept with all restaurant technology (POS, purchasing, labor-management)
  • Passion for the hospitality industry and providing great service
  • Candidates should be highly organized, efficient, and be able to work precisely
  • Must be capable, trustworthy, have integrity, and have experience solving problems.
  • Ability to train and encourage the restaurant staff
  • Candidates should have an optimistic, positive disposition as well as an empathetic attitude
  • Candidates should demonstrate creativity and a commitment to brand success for both restaurants
  • Physical requirements include: ability to handle and carry trays, smallware, equipment, or other items up to 35lbs, and to stand, walk up and down stairs, and exert well-paced mobility for extended period of time

Compensation: Salary ($55,000.00 - $65,000.00)

Osteria Morini D.C. at the Yards introduces Washington, D.C. to the soulful cuisine and convivial spirit of the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. The region’s central city is Bologna and is most commonly recognized as the home of Ferrari and Luciano Pavarotti. Emilia-Romagna, known as the Italian Breadbasket, is also the birthplace of some of the flavors and ingredients commonly associated with Italian cuisine worldwide: prosciutto, mortadella, parmigiano, and balsamic vinegar.

The décor certainly has inspiration from the original Osteria Morini in Soho, New York but also reflects the mood and location of the DC Yards development. The rustic and convivial ambience features high ceilings and exposes a fully open chef's kitchen for guests to enjoy the theatre of their meal unfolding before their eyes.

In Italian, “osteria” means a place where the owner “hosts” guests. It is a relaxed place to be with friends and family. We look forward to hosting you at our Osteria at The Yards and begin your journey to Emilia-Romagna.
