Lasita is a small casual restaurant / wine bar located in Chinatown’s Far East Plaza – we have been open for about 2 years and are ever-evolving. We’re looking for a team-oriented assistant general manager to grow with us. 

The assistant manager is responsible for facilitating daily operations. They will be working closely with the front and back of house teams and report to owners on a regular basis. 

Job Overview

• Take the lead on nightly service by being actively engaged in the guest experience and with the staff. Oversee the Front of House (training, coaching, disciplining, communications) with the goal of pursuing excellence as a team. Reinforce high service standards. Fill in as needed for rushes / gaps / call outs. 
• Support restaurant cleanliness and maintenance – ensure that the restaurant and surrounding areas are presentable to guests and receive a letter grade of A for all health department inspections. 
• Execute administrative tasks for the venue. For example, gift cards, copy of receipt transactions, reviewing voicemails, responding to texts/emails, following up with guest inquiries. Knowledge of Toast is a plus! 
• Assist in weekly and monthly inventory. 
• Support the organization and management of supplies and non-food related inventories -  Ensure the restaurant remains stocked with all necessary items/tools (plates, flatware, glassware, printer paper/ink, office supplies, service tools etc.)
• Support New Menu Updates - Changing menus on a regular basis, including printed menus, pdf's on website, menu tool on website, updating POS. 
• Oversee and manage hosts and reservations. Knowledge of Resy is a plus! 
• Communication with owners including weekly managers meeting, daily shift log etc.  
• Available to work 40-45 hours / week / Must be available Friday & Saturday nights.  

Qualifications 

• Minimum 3-5 years of restaurant / hospitality experience. 
• High proficiency with MS Office, G-Drive, Email 
• Excellent communication / interpersonal skills 
• Serv-Safe / Tips Certification  
• Leadership Skills to motivate, develop and support staff. 
• Capable of problem-solving, organizing and delegating
• Flexibility to change course according to business needs.
