Job Summary:
The Cook provides support and participates in the preparation of food items in accordance with CentroNía recipes and established standards in the continued effort to deliver nutritious meals, educating adults and children to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Prepares food items according to designated recipes and quality standards.
- Recipes standardization.
- Supervise timely food delivery.
- Manage kitchen staff and delegate meal preparation tasks, cooking, and delivering food in a timely fashion.
- Review and process catering requests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner.
- Prepare requisitions and place orders for supplies and food items, as needed.
- Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local, and company regulations.
- Ensure knowledge of the menu and all food products.
- Oversee and maintain cleanliness and food sanitation.
- Prepare, pack, and date baby food as needed
- Baby food production.
- Prepare special diets.

Key Qualifications – Required experience and education
- Three years of experience in the kitchen
- Culinary Arts or Hospitality Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience in lieu of educational requirements.
- A food Handler license is a must.
- Basic verbal and writing skills
- Flexibility regarding schedules, sharing of tasks, and changes in routines and plans.
Expected Work hours:
A maximum of 40 hours a week.
Travel
No traveling is expected for this position.
