Reporting to: General Manager
Summary of Position: Responsible for overseeing guest relations and experience. Knowledge of Beverly Hills and West Hollywood clientele necessary.
Job Purpose: To create meaningful relationships with our guest and improve their overall experience.
Summary of Essential Functions:
- Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times.
- Cultivate relationships with new and returning guests.
- Investigate and resolve guest complaints concerning food quality and service.
- Promote and maintain the highest level of customer service to all guests while staying alert to their needs at all times.
- Take initiative in case of reservation conflicts to ensure guest experience is not impacted.
- Maintain and update guest rolodex.
- Assign tables daily according to guest preferences and relationships.
- Assures that the table setting and general condition of the restaurant is up to standards.
- Hold daily pre shift meeting with host department.
- Supervise and manage guests’ reservation inquiries.
- Assists with incoming calls and answering guest questions
- Demonstrate outgoing and friendly personality.
- Implement and maintain operational check lists including opening, closing, and mid-shift task lists for the host department.
- Maintain current information on all general activities of the restaurant and store.
- Suggest improvements and enhancements to General Manager.
- Achieve company objectives in service quality, appearance and cleanliness through training of the hosts and creating a positive, productive working environment.
- Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
- Continually strive to develop your team in all areas of managerial and professional development.
- Ensure that Staff within department has the appropriate tools and supplies each shift.
- Drive company standards, including uniform, grooming and timeliness of the staff each shift.
- Train and coach staff within host department to focus on company standards.
- Thanking and greeting guests with genuine appreciation before they leave
- Coordinate events and stay in touch with POC.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
