The Continental is looking for a Bartender! Join Sean Brock, a James Beard award-winning chef, at his fine-dining restaurant in Nashville Yards inside The Grand Hyatt. "The Continental is a restaurant inspired by the history of American cuisine. We will seek to create new dishes and service traditions guided by this. We will also revive some of the classics that have been forgotten. The dinner experience will be fun and festive, with a focus on service and fine cuisine. There is a great respect for craftsmanship and that will serve as our catalyst. " We are looking for individuals who desire to provide exceptional service to every guest. The beverage program will mirror the menu created by Chef Brock. We currently have a 300 -bottle wine list that spans across Europe and the West Coast. Classic cocktails, liquor and beer are also emphasized. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with the Lead Bartenders and Beverage Director. We hope to see some of the following in our Beverage Team candidates:
- Desire to provide exceptional service to every guest.
- Depth of knowledge all things beverage; including but not limited to – Old World and New World wine, classic cocktails and beer.
- Desire to continue learning and to teach.
- Available to work weekends, nights, and holidays as business dictates.
- Food safety knowledge.
- Organization, cleanliness, & time-management skills.
- Reliable, organized, efficient, courteous, professional, & a team player.
- Heightened sense of awareness & great attention to detail.
- Strong sense of teamwork & seeks to drive results through collaboration.
- Provide an excellent guest experience that builds long term customer relationships.
- Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Previous experience with cellar maintenance, organization and inventory preferred but not required.
- Previous fine dining & high-volume restaurant experience is preferred but not required, along with a willingness to learn.
