Silver Sands, located in Greenport, NY, is in search of Guest Service Agents to join our growing team. Opening Summer 2023, Silver Sands is a unique destination for respite and revelry, welcoming locals, travelers, and drop-in visitors alike.

The mission for this role is to create a warm and welcoming environment for our guests and provide guests with assistance and information in an attentive, courteous, and friendly manner. A Guest Service Agent completes all necessary tasks related to processing reservations, posting charges and payments for guests. Assists guests with reservations for dining and other activities at Silver Sands and in the surrounding area.

KEY FUNCTIONS

• Arrive at the front desk on time and in uniform for each shift
• Respond to guest requests in a prompt and courteous manner
• Welcome guests according to established steps of service
• Assist guests with luggage and parking if requested
• Have deep knowledge of Silver Sands property, food and beverage outlets and recreational activities
• Communicate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction when challenges arise
• Report maintenance issues on a timely basis
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Assist guests with reservations, information and recommendations about area attractions and activities
• Use established cash handling and credit/debit card authorization procedures to minimize bad debt
• Attend all mandatory team meetings and training sessions

Essential Functions

• Able to lift 30+ lbs.
• Ability to effectively listen, communicate with customers and staff in all situations.
• Polished personal presentation: grooming meets Company standards, as outlined by Employee Handbook
• Able to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business
• Ability to walk, stand, and/or bend continuously and for extended periods as required to perform essential job functions
• Ability to perform essential job functions under pressure while maintain professionalism at all times
• Demonstrated ability to work well with cross-functional groups backgrounds
• Attend all mandatory team meetings and training sessions
