THE POSITION
Melba’s is seeking Line Cooks with significant high volume restaurant operations experience for our teams.

JOB OVERVIEW

The Line Cook is responsible for ensuring that the culinary & operating standards of Melba’s are executed within the restaurant. They need to be well versed in the menu and food offerings and know how to cook and plate dishes in a timely manner.

Specific responsibilities: 

• Prepares all menu items following recipes and yield guides, according to department standards in a time efficient manner.
• Restocks items that were depleted during the shift.
• Checks production schedule and pars and establishes priority items for the day.

COMPENSATION

The Line Cook will be paid $20-$24 per hour

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 2+ years’ kitchen experience in a high-volume restaurant 
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English
• Polished personal presentation; grooming meets Melba’s standards, as outlined by Employee Handbook
• Able to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business
• Ability to walk, stand, and/or bend continuously and for extended periods as required to perform essential job functions
• Ability to perform essential job functions when working under stress, in fast-paced environment
• Ability to withstand outside climate conditions, and inclement weather
