Title: Line Cook
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and versatile cook to work in our new small restaurant. This role requires someone who can wear many hats and is willing to take on a variety of tasks to ensure the success of our restaurant. The successful candidate will have a passion for cooking and a dedication to delivering high-quality food to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food items in accordance with our menu and recipes
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation
- Assist with menu planning and recipe development
- Help to maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries
- Assist with washing dishes and maintaining a clean kitchen environment
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Take direction from the head chef and follow established procedures
- Adapt to changing circumstances and take on new responsibilities as required
Experience Required:
- Proven experience as a cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members
- Experience in a small restaurant setting is an asset
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene best practices
