CAFÉ LLAMA – CAPTAIN   

The Llama Company is opening a new establishment on the 66th floor within the new Spiral building in Hudson Yards called CAFÉ LLAMA! Bringing the Spiral business member’s an exclusive clubhouse space, Café Llama is the ultimate stop for all your go-to’s with some Peruvian flare.

We are looking for a Café Server who is responsible for beverage service of all tables and seating areas of the bar and lounges. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work under pressure, communicate effectively, multi-task and have strong attention to detail.
Please note that the operating hours for this venue at Monday-Friday, 8am - 8pm.

Requirements include attention to detail, organization, strong food/wine/beverage knowledge, a professional demeanor, discretion, and the ability to work as a team player.

Ideal Candidates should have the following:

• 2 or more years of New York fine dining restaurant experience, private club or its equivalent
• Desire and dedication to offer premier fine dining experience
• Strong coffee, wine and beverage knowledge

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead guests in their dining experience with genuine hospitality
• Ability to guide guests in the right direction, making calculated suggestions to drive experience and sales
• Develop full knowledge of all aspects of our Peruvian/American menu
• Always maintain a professional demeanor, be gracious, kind to teammates and guest alike.
• Understand POS (Toast) system deeply, and efficiently use systems (preferably toast)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Great coffee, wine, and spirit knowledge.
• Pisco knowledge is a big plus
• Hard working, self-motivated team player
• Willingness to learn, participate in trainings, and expand knowledge in all thing’s food/beverage

Additional requirements:

• Must be able to lift/move up to 10lbs, frequently lift/move up to 25lbs, and occasionally lift/move up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously

Compensation Details:

• Compensation: Hourly (Based on Experience) plus tips
