We are currently seeking experienced, passionate, and service-focused Food Runners to join our team for the upcoming opening of our new restaurant and nightclub in NoHo.
The Food Runner assists in service of tables through running food from kitchen to guests, describing dishes to guests and supporting servers in assigned stations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver food orders to guests quickly and accurately.
- Ensure tables are properly set for all dishes.
- Work closely with kitchen staff, expediter, and chefs to maintain dish integrity.
- Maintain complete knowledge of:
- Table/seat/station numbers
- All food menu items (including modifications, allergies, and cooking styles)
- How to use all the proper equipment relative to your job as well as how to be Department of Health compliant
- Be able to properly and efficiently perform opening, closing, and side-work duties.
- Know and understand proper food handling, lifting, and safety techniques to ensure a safe environment for yourself, the guest, and your fellow coworkers.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
- 1+ years of Food Runner experience.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to stand on your feet for several hours.
- Ability to lift and carry trays up to 50lbs.
- Ability to navigate the ascension of stairways with food trays
- Open schedule availability/flexibility. (including weekends)
- Positive attitude, engaging etiquette, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
