Blooming Hill Farm is looking for servers to build our team. Our restaurant and wedding venue is located on an operating farm in the Hudson Valley. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, ambitious, and hard-working. Compensation is $11 per hour plus tips when working as a server in our restaurant and $30+ per hour (flat hourly rate) when working an event on the farm.
Responsibilities include:
- Setting up dining areas for restaurant service and events
- Performing sidework as required each shift
- Understanding our changing food and beverage menu in order to help customers make menu selections and answer questions about food preparation, allergies, specials, and pairings.
- Delivering a great customer experience with the hopes of creating repeat guests.
Qualifications Desired for this Position:
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively with managers, other service staff & customers
- Ability to multitask efficiently
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience as a restaurant and/or catering server in a busy, fast-paced environment
- General interest in the food and beverage industry with an eagerness to improve knowledge and skills
