Way back when Point Breeze was just another forgotten neighborhood name, we opened this chalkboard menu driven, beer focused, dive-y but kinda-nice joint and everyone thought we were crazy.
Fast forward 10 years – American Sardine Bar is the place to be if you enjoy soaking up the backyard sun sipping on a killer cocktail whilst enjoying some of the freshest and most creative plates this side of Flavortown, USA. We’ve come a long way, and while we may have lost some of that neighborhood charm to big development – we assure you ASB is the same old diamond in the rough, just a bit more polished and grown up.
We are currently seeking a General Manager to join our amazing team. Candidates should have a comfortable amount of experience managing complex systems and people, and drive to actively engage staff and guests to ensure the best possible service at all times.
Job duties are focused around:
- Drive sales daily to meet and exceed goals through guest interaction, events planning and execution, social media engagement
- Responsible for all day to day operations, coordinated with assistant manager and Director of Operations
- Weekly beer, wine and liquor inventory and ordering
- Scheduling and managing labor productivity FOH / BOH
- COGS and controllable costs
- P&L review weekly w management
- POS and delivery platforms menu maintenance
- Physical Plant management
- Compliance with PLCB, Labor and Health departments
- Manager Serve Safe and RAMP certification required - we will make accomodations to certify if not already compliant
