Kiln is a tasting menu restaurant opening in Hayes Valley later this summer and is currently seeking Captains to join our Service Team

This is a full-time Captain position with opportunity for growth and will require working closely and collaboratively with all other members of the service team, front and back of house. Ideal candidates thrive in a small team environment and will be focused, hard working, dedicated to maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant and committed to the preparation and execution of our service standards. 

Fine dining serving experience and wine knowledge is highly encouraged, though we will happily train the right kind of candidate and provide the necessary tools in order to grow into the position. That said, individuals must have a strong desire to learn, contribute and push for progress, as all service staff members are expected to be able to cover and execute all aspects of service.

The schedule will be Tuesday-Saturday with Sundays & Mondays off along with annual closures. On average we anticipate each shift being about 10 hrs long, starting at 2:00pm each day. Pay rate begins at $24.50/hr,  includes OT and any additional tips from the evening will be pooled among eligible staff members.
