The Restaurant Manager will interact with restaurant guests, team members, and supervisors in a polite, courteous, and hospitable manner to ensure that guests are having an exemplary dining experience. As restaurant manager, you will be expected to supervise and coordinate all activities of the restaurant team to ensure that the restaurant is running efficiently and meeting the highest standards. This position may be eligible for promotion to General Manager and is a great starting point for your career in F&B leadership!
Responsibilities includE:
>Manages and drives shift during meal period (lunch/dinner/brunch)
>Assists and supports Restaurant General Manager.
>Supervises the host stand, bar and the restaurant floor, including all servers, food runners, bus boys, bartenders.
>Focuses on service standards and guest relations. Touches all tables to ensure guest satisfaction and build rapport.
>Interacts with guests to create loyal customers. Invites guests to join the mailing list or proprietary social media sites.
>Maintains a full working knowledge of all food and beverage menus including allergies and dietary restrictions.
>Writes schedules for servers, bartenders, bussers, runners, and host.
>Conducts regular closing shifts for restaurant. Closes all POS systems, balances with all servers, and completes shift closing paperwork.
>Liaison with Kitchen. Assists with re-fires, coordinating with Expeditor.
>Communicates effectively and genuinely with guests, team members and other departments.
>Maintains a friendly and caring demeanor at all times in a fast pace environment. >Shows initiative and anticipates needs in job performance.
>Demonstrates team work; is dependable and productive.
>Inspects restaurant and bars, supervises workers and observes guest to ensure compliance with occupational health, and safety standards as well as state and liquor regulations.
>Assist in the maintaining of daily, weekly and monthly budgets regarding sales, food, liquor, operating items and labor.
>Takes part in monthly inventories.
>Assists with ordering including wine and beverages. Responsible for the proper storage.
>Maintains menus and prints special menus and wine cards.
>Uses several different computer applications to communicate, generate information, analyze data and place orders
>Oversees and actively participates in activities within all front of the house areas
>Takes reservations via Open Table. Arranges special services and requests for guests.
>Assists and supports team members.
>Trains team members in proper service and product knowledge. Conducts tests and reviews in liaison with the kitchen.
>Processes time edits and completes payroll records.
>Documents all guest and team member incidents and accidents and follow appropriate procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
• Strong Oral and written communication skills • Attention to detail • Planning and organizational ability • Computer skills • Able to exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally and 10 lbs of force frequently. • Leadership skills • Outstanding Customer service • Spanish speaking a plus • Able to work nights, weekends and holidays when business needs dictates. • Able to work in fast paced, stressful environment. • Strong ability to motivate and establish a team work environment. Required Qualifications: • Two years of F&B Management experience in a fast paced dining environment.
