POSITION SUMMARY
As a member of the Guest Service team, you are responsible for creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guests helping them to get the most out of their visit to Silver Sands and the North Fork. You are a motivated team member friendly and professional service to our guests. A Guest Service Agent completes all necessary tasks related to processing reservations, posting charges and payments for guests. Assists guests with reservations for dining and other activities at Silver Sands and in the surrounding area.
• Arrive at the front desk on time and in uniform for each shift
• Respond to guest requests in a prompt and courteous manner
• Know the Silver Sands property, food and beverage outlets and recreational activities
• Welcome guests according to established standard operation procedures
• Communicate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction when challenges arise
• Report maintenance issues on a timely basis according to standard operating procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• When possible, assist guests with luggage and parking
• Escort guests to their guest room or bungalow
• Assist guests with reservations, information and recommendations about area attractions and activities according to established standard operating procedures
• Use established cash handling and credit/debit card authorization procedures to minimize bad debt
• Report to your supervisor an issue you and unable to resolve according to escalation procedures
• Attend all mandatory team meetings and training sessions
Essential Functions
- Able to lift 30+ lbs.
- Ability to effectively listen, communicate with customers and staff in all situations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Polished personal presentation: grooming meets Company standards, as outlined by Employee Handbook
- Able to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business
- Ability to walk, stand, and/or bend continuously and for extended periods as required to perform essential job functions
- Ability to perform essential job functions under pressure while maintain professionalism at all times
- Demonstrated ability to work well with cross-functional groups backgrounds
- Attend all mandatory team meetings and training sessions
Work Experience Requirements
- 2+ years previous front desk or concierge experience
