Parcelle Wine Bar is hiring a Host to join their team! As the Host of our Wine Bar you are responsible for managing the seating and reservations the night of your shift. Your role is to help execute and maintain a positive, friendly and welcoming ambiance. In addition to working with the front of house team, Chef and Directors to maintain service standards, this role is responsible for communicating clearly with staff members to ensure that each guest receives a level of service aligned with Parcelle’s standards.
Responsible for making, adjusting, and canceling reservations night of your shit.
● Responsible for creating effective seating plans for night-of reservations and forecasting for
future reservation times.
● Works to maximize potential covers, while providing great service.
● Proficient on all platforms including but not limited to Resy, Square and Shopify.
● Greets customers, while receiving all necessary information in order to accurately map them to
their assigned table and FOH team member.
● Works closely with MOD, Chef and Lead Sever, ensuring guests are cared for and standards are
met.
● Able to answer customer questions regarding food, drinks, and other details.
● Helps to resolve customer complaints or disputes during the shift. Works to communicate, and
assist with any guest concerns and necessary follow-ups.
● Helps to flag VIPs and potential regulars for Founders, MOD and Directors.
● General knowledge and understanding of Department of Health (DOH) food safety standards.
Minimum 2 years hospitality experience required.
● Excellent communication and customer service skills, including the ability to tactfully deliver
unwelcome news to customers.
● Must be able to speak, read, write in clear English.
● Must be able to use relevant computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Suite, and
restaurant-specific platforms including POS and business metric applications)
● Highly organized and detail-oriented in all aspects of event planning and execution.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Excellent leadership skills.
● Intuitive understanding of restaurant service.
● Ability to work independently while displaying a commitment to Parcelle’s brand.
● Experience working in an environment that demands speed, flexibility and quick turnarounds.
