Hello! We are seeking line cooks to be part of our team at Fort Defiance!
We are a neighborhood restaurant focused on building connections with our staff and the community, fostering creativity, and creating a fun, welcoming, and respectful working environment. Our dinner menu leans towards small plates with southern, Spanish, and French influence, while our store menu of grab-and-go sandwiches and house-baked pastries focuses on comfort and convenience.
We are open for breakfast and lunch seven days a week in our general store and dinner every day except Tuesday in our back bar room. Flexible availability required. We are looking for candidates who are available to work both mornings and/or evenings as needed. We offer competitive wages.
Musts:
- Candidates should have 1-2 years restaurant kitchen experience
- Be able to follow recipes in metric grams
- Work cleanly
- Have a flexible schedule including, weekend, night and day availability
Preferred:
- Baking experience
- Experience with grill / proteins and sauté a plus
- Experience cooking eggs to order
- Experience working in scratch kitchens
- DOH Certification or willingness to obtain certification
