Advanced Prep Cook – Smoque Steak (Avondale) - TRAINING IMMEDIATELY!!

SMOQUE STEAK is both a new style of steak and a new style of steakhouse. As we assemble our Opening Team, we are looking for strong PREP COOK candidates to work within an innovative kitchen. 

This is a general kitchen position responsible for preparing food items for daily restaurant service. A minimum of 2 years experience in a high-volume restaurant is required. 

Summary of Position: 

• Reports directly to the Kitchen Manager
• Hours will range from 35-45/wk based on performance and dependability
• Must be available to be scheduled Tuesday through Sunday, closed on Mondays. Weekend availability is mandatory.

Responsible for food assembly functions including:

• Preparing raw ingredients for service
• Preparing items according to recipes
• Ensure food quality is up to standards
• Sanitation practices and cleanliness of kitchen
• Timely and accurate completion of prepped items
• Other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the Kitchen Manager

Qualifications:

• Basic kitchen experience, including knife skills
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
• Must be dependable and able to work evenings and weekends
