Dishwasher/Utility – Smoque Steak (Avondale)

SMOQUE STEAK is both a new style of steak and a new style of steakhouse. As we assemble our Opening Team, we are looking for strong DISHWASHER/UTILITY candidates to work within an innovative kitchen.

This is a general back of house position and would be responsible for washing dishes in a three compartment sink and dish machine, cleaning, stocking, and minor food prep tasks. Previous kitchen experience is preferred.

Summary of Position:

• Reports directly to the Kitchen Manager
• Hours will range from 30-40/wk based on performance, dependability and restaurant needs
• Must be available to be scheduled for Tuesday through Sunday, closed on Mondays. Weekend availability is mandatory.

Responsible for:

• Washing dishes throughout the course of the shift using a three compartment sink and dish machine
• General and specific cleaning tasks
• Trash removal/disposal
• Receiving and stocking orders
• Food preparation tasks, as assigned

 Qualifications:

• Basic kitchen experience, including knife skills
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
• Must be dependable
