Second Generation is growing and we are looking for a passionate, thoughtful, career-minded Chef de Partie to join our team. We focus on a multi-role system and have a strong sense of teamwork and flexibility. We feature Chicago comfort fare with a foundation in Asian-American cuisine.
The position is full time. Weekend availability required.
Compensation starts at $18, depending on experience.
Health insurance option is available after 1 month of full-time employment.
Chef de Partie Responsibilities:
- Sets up, stocks food items and other necessary supplies for their station.
- Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
- Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage. City of Chicago food handler certification required.
