Peak is a modern American restaurant located in Hudson Yards on the 101st floor, with stunning views and food to match.Peak’s menus are inspired by seasonality and sustainability. Our team of chefs highlight the hard work of our farms, fisherman and purveyors, while also showcasing an award-winning wine program from our beverage team.
Objectives:
To provide prompt, efficient and timely customer service within a fast paced restaurant environment
- To maintain high levels of customer service at all time.
- To assist sommeliers with all aspects of wine service, restocking, and presentation
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Service of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages as well as basic food and cocktail preparation
- Understand the basics of wine service
- Assist with deliveries and inventories
- Assist sommeliers with floor service
- Cellar management
- Report lows and 86s to assistant beverage manager
- Maintain cleanliness of all wine service equipment
- Be flexible and be able to adapt to changing demands of the business
- Attend regular communication meetings and operational training sessions as well as any training initiated to ensure that you are aware of any changes, new directions, policies or important security information
- Conduct periodical department stock takes and record any equipment breakages
- Ensure any shortages of equipment are communicated to Assistant Beverage Manager in a timely manner, trying to minimise breakages
- Undertake daily stock take of crucial items
- Record any breakages and wastages correctly
- Maintain adequate stock rotation, min par stock levels and use by dates
- Control on a daily basis stock management, reviewing opening and closing checklist and provide training to all staff members concerned
- Stock is never left unattended
- Measures are correctly used
- Stock discipline is practiced and trained at every opportunity
- Your checks ensure lighting and temperature settings are correct
- All areas are clean
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, policy and cleaning schedules are followed
- All areas must be clean and tidy at all times
- Assist with wash up and correct maintenance and storage of all crockery and glassware in accordance with set standards
- Adopt and follow the set service standards and procedures to ensure that standards are maintained
Compensation Details: $10/hour plus tips.
