Established, successful Philadelphia Italian restaurant seeks an Executive Chef to lead our kitchen and help us realize our greater ambitions. The ideal applicant will have considerable experience in authentic Italian cuisine in Italy or in high-level Italian kitchens in the US. We are looking for someone who respects regional Italian culinary tradition but with a creative spark, strong vision, and the skills to realize that vision. Candidates should be hands-on workers and teachers who lead by example, and bring energy, enthusiasm, and positivity. Qualifications and responsibilities:
- Strong management experience in a quality kitchen
- Mentor, train, recruit kitchen staff
- Assure consistent and high kitchen performance
- Develop menu (in concert with owners), participate in event creation, promotions
- Develop menu within budgetary limits using high-quality ingredients, minimizing waste
