Job Details
Albi is seeking an Chef de Cuisine.   Looking for a leader with great cooking technique, ability to motivate and direct a strong team, passion for working with local farms and seasonal produce, and menu planning and execution skills for chef/owner Michael Rafidi's One Star Michelin debut restaurant.  We offer full benefits, paid time off, and pathway for continued growth and development.

Chef Rafidi takes inspiration from his family’s Palestinian roots, bringing to the table an experience that melds the ancient tradition of the region’s coal-fired cuisine with local, seasonal, Mid-Atlantic ingredients and a refined culinary acumen. 

Since opening albi has attracted significant critical attention, earning inclusion on national Best New Restaurant lists in Eater, Robb Report and Esquire, was named Eater DC's Restaurant of the Year. In 2022, Albi was awarded One Star Michelin.
 

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Two years of experience as a executive sous chef in fine dining establishment.
  • Ability to lead a team of 15-20 people.
  • Strong to desire to build a postive enviroment and culture .
  • Experience with various cooking methods and procedures.
  • Familiar with industry best practices.
