Manager

 Job Summary

Collaborating directly with GM, lead and manage all facets of the FOH and operations of Union Sushi and Barbeque Bar. The Manager will continue to build a better brand with the staff by constantly improving our food and service while focusing on our client/partner and our guests and providing unparalleled hospitality. The Manager will work closely with the GM and Executive Chef to achieve shared goals. The position requires flexibility and a wide range of hospitality, service and business acumen.  The Manager actively embodies, inspires and teaches skills that will elevate the core values of The Franklin Room 

 

Responsibilities

  • Work with GM to establish and achieve clear profitability and performance goals and metrics for The Franklin Room
  • Maintain and grow relationships with all corresponding departments at Franklin Room
  • Continuously recruit strong candidates for all positions and grow through empowerment and development
  • Ensure that The Franklin Room continuously delivers uncommon hospitality and excellence to its guests. Actively embody, inspire and teach hospitality to all.

 

Skills/Requirements

  • 2 years in leadership position
  • 2 + years in high volume restaurants
  • Experience in all facets of a restaurant
  • Specific knowledge of Purchasing, Receiving, Maintenance, Inventory, P&L, Cash handling procedures and controls, HR systems and Sales and Marketing
  • Operations experience in Maitre d’ position, Reservationist, Bar Management, Wine Directory, Service Director, Special Events, Expeditor, Stewarding and Porter Management
  • Excellent Communication Skills (verbal/oral/listening)
  • Excellent Leadership & Organizational Management Skills
  • Proficient in Restaurant Systems (POS/Open Table)
  • Excellent Dining Room and Facilities Operations Knowledge
  • Food & Beverage Knowledge with a solid understanding of Wine + Spirits
  • Understanding of HR Practices, Policies and Procedures
