With Nice Matin, Tour De France NYC brings their expertise in Niçoise cuisine to the US. Executive Chef / Partner Andy D’Amico has been charming New York diners with his cuisine for many years and interprets the cuisine with a contemporary New York flair.
Nice Matin found D’Amico partnering with Simon Oren (Marseille, Sushi Samba, L'Express, etc.) and together they traveled to Nice, France, while researching their project. D’Amico created an inventive menu full of items inspired by his trip – some classic in their presentation, whilst others with his own unique interpretation. Opened in 2003, critics applauded his choices, and he received “2 Stars” from The New York Times and Crain’s New York, and “2 1/2 Stars” from The Daily News and New York Post. That same year, D’Amico was named “Best Chef” by New York Magazine food editor Gillian Duffy.
Most recently, Nice Matin has received accolades for the extensive wine list, curated by wine director Aviram Turgeman. Most notably, Nice Matin has received the Grand Award for wine-list excellence from Wine Spectator for the past three consecutive years.
