Chilmark Tavern, a well-established seasonal restaurant on Martha’s Vineyard is hiring a lead line cook for our 2023 season (early May through early-October). We are looking for candidates who are fun, hard-working, and great team players all around. We focus on cooking high quality, local-when-possible ingredients in an upscale casual setting.
LEAD LINE COOK/LINE COOK
We are looking for cooks who have previous experience cooking in high volume, fast paced kitchens and have a desire to be part of a solid team. We are looking for cooks who love what they do and who want to grow and learn. You must be able to keep calm in a stressful setting, keep organized, be able to be on your feet for long shifts, and not be afraid of hard work (or cleaning). Two + years' experience cooking on grill or sauté in high volume/finer dining or upscale casual settings preferred but we are happy to train someone with a great attitude and willingness to learn.
We are looking for someone who will be available full time for our full season (@May 15, 2023 - early October 2023).
This is a full time position.
Two days off in a row per week!
Great pay plus we collect a kitchen appreciation gratuity that is shared amongst BOH staff only.
Housing is available, nearby, for the right candidate(s).

Compensation Details
Compensation: Salary/Hourly ($19.00 - $25.00) plus tips
Estimated Weekly Tips: $200
