BRUTO of Id Est Hospitality Group is hiring a Bar Lead who is well-versed in beverage and culinary trends! We are seeking candidates who think outside of the box and are creative with their techniques. At least 3 years of prior bartending experience is required to be considered for this role and culinary experience is a plus.

Highlights of Bruto Bar Program:

  • Fermentation driven N/A and Mixed Beverage program. Working closely with the culinary team to create a cohesive menu for our guests. 
  • Agave-driven bar program focusing on agaves from different regions in Mexico and Latin America. Working with small batch producers to support small family-owned agave companies that are sustainable in their practices. 
  • Seasonality of ingredients for our menus. Working with local farmers to create a cohesive bar menu to support and highlight local producers. 
  • We take pride in holding ourselves to the highest standards to create an unforgettable experience for our guests and holding ourselves accountable to be the version of ourselves we can be. 

The Bar Lead is responsible for activities including, but not limited to:

  • Developing seasonal, experiential beverage selections in a unique tasting menu context
  • Bar inventory maintenance duties, including ordering, inventory, and inventory maintenance 
  • Ensuring bar profitability - aligning bar operations with the overarching goals of the establishment
  • Reviewing and maintaining predetermined budgets, spending goals, and sales. Reporting to leadership on these topics
  • Maintaining vendor relationships
  • Ensuring bar cleanliness and organization
  • Conducting bar training for staff
  • Support the Beverage Director in driving cohesiveness between the bar and wine programs
  • Maintaining bar equipment and scheduling routine services and repairs

The ideal candidates fit the following criteria:

  • 3 yrs+ of prior bartending experience
  • Wide variety of beverage-related knowledge - non-alcoholic, coffee, beverage pairing, fermentation, agave spirit background knowledge, 
  • Varied knowledge of culinary techniques that relates to beverage making
  • Knowledgeable and passionate about beverage trends, cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages, beverage making, beverage pairing, and people
  • Ability to independently craft unique cocktail recipes for seasonal cocktail menus and pairing menus
  • A zero waste and ingredient cross utilization mindset; a mindset of seasonality in regards to cocktail making
  • Excellent understanding of hospitality etiquette
  • Ability to understand and execute proper steps of service
  • Excellent organization and planning skills
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to fast-paced environments
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Prior bar management experience is a plus
  • Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time and lift 50 lbs
  • Availability to work nights and weekends
