Looking for Chef who is passionate and wants to lead our kitchen business. Option to partner with us to own the food business. We are a Pincho bar (Spanish Tapas) and focus on Small plates. Open to changes to the menu if it is the right direction. The plan is to open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. We close the kitchen by 11 pm
Requirements
- Past experience as a working chef
- Organized, methodical and professional
- Focus on sanitation and quality control.
- Able to multitask and work in high stress situations
- Great leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to document, train other kitchen staff
- Motivate and drive others in the kitchen to perform their best
- Ability to be creative, create unique dishes.
- Philadelphia SafeServ Certified (if not you will be required to be certified within 90 days)
- Language skills - English, Spanish
- Culinary school degree/diploma a plus
Work involves
Manage kithen inventory and Reorder supplies
Prepping for food service
Work on crafting new recipes and providing additions to the menu
Ability to calculate cost per dish and understand profitablity
Coach and supervise other kitchen staff
Review resumes and hire other kitchen staff as needed
Have Availabilty to work week nights and weekends and be able to step in when needed
Salary - Negotiable and can explore various options including bonus, sick leave and vacation time
