Our upscale café is looking for a Full and Part Time Host/Front Counter Attendant to join our team. Our hosts are the first impression for guests and must be friendly and outgoing with the ability to jump in and help with various tasks throughout the café. Hosts will be primarily responsible for checking in and seating guests in our full-service restaurant while also helping guests at our Grab-and-Go counter. Morning service/set-up will be the regular schedule with weekend availability.  

Experience working and operating a manual espresso machine is a plus!  

Previous restaurant/cafe experience, excellent communications skills and a positive energy is a must! The Host will be professional and polished in appearance; gracious and friendly in demeanor; and ready to deliver exceptional service to the store’s upscale clientele.  Experience with Open Table/Resy is a plus - computer proficiency and phone etiquette is required. General Responsibilities & Expectations: 

• Ensure a professional and friendly communication style with all guests during service, on the phone, or during email communication.
• Ring all to-go food and beverage items and properly handle payments with 100% accuracy.
• Have full knowledge of each table’s service status, and use that information to give guests the best seating experience possible.
• Maintain knowledge of all food and beverage offerings, including: ingredients, methods of preparation and proper service; be able to explain all food and beverage items listed on the menu.
• Assist with daily setup and breakdown of the dining area and midday re-sets as needed.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations. 
• Weekend and morning availability.
