Job Description

Proper Hotel is seeking a qualified Busser / Food Runner. Bussers / Food Runners are the connection between the Front of the House and Back of the House, eliminating a lot of stress and discord by communicating information between cooks and servers. They also make sure the food goes out at the time precisely as the Chef intended. The main responsibility for this position is to deliver food to guests in a friendly, professional & knowledgeable manner. Applicants should be able to work well under pressure, be professional, efficient, detail-oriented, and courteous. We expect a team player attitude for this position. Must have a flexible schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of all the ingredient details of every dish on the menu
- Delivering food to guest quickly and efficiently
- Communicating clearly with the kitchen and front of house staff
- Previous experience is a plus, but not required.
Requirements:
- Previous restaurant or lounge experience will be considered a plus
- Customer-oriented approach and patience
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent people skills
- Responsible and trustworthy
- Attention to cleanliness and safety
- High school diploma will be considered a plus
- Licenses or Certificates: Responsible Beverage Service Certification Required and California Food Handlers Certificate Required
