Banquet Housemen report directly to the Banquet Manager and job responsibilities include:

• Execute floor plans as stated on the BEOs. This includes considerable physical activity in transporting awkward and heavy materials such as staging, tables, chairs, dance floors, etc., from storage area to meeting rooms.
• Maintain established cleaning schedule of meeting rooms and ballrooms so the rooms always stay presentable.
• Break down all meeting rooms where meetings have concluded and return to storage closet so the room will be available to be reset for the next function.
• Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the tables, chairs, walls, and floors.
• Handle and steam linens properly.
• Organizing banquet storage and hallways.
• Vacuum and shampoo carpets, mop floors, and dust all banquet spaces.
• Complete various deep cleaning projects as needed.
• Work with maintenance department to ensure needed repairs are complete.
• Assist Banquet Servers with setup as needed.
• Assist with set up & breakdown simple food and beverage stations.
• Make sure that extra supplies such as napkins, utensils, and glassware are available prior to an event.

Experience

• Ability to perform independently in a fast paced and always changing environment.
• Excellent oral communication skills required.
• Bi-Lingual a plus
• Knowledge of how to execute a floorplan.
• A Minimum of 1 year experience moving event furniture or equipment.
• Experience with working with a banquet team.

• Must be attentive to details.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move a minimum of 40lbs on a daily basis.
• Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.
• Must be able to ascend and descend staircases.
• Must have open availability and able to work night, weekends, and holidays.
