Café Fili on Capitol Hill, is looking for an Executive Chef. We are passionate about offering the creative cuisine and warm hospitality, that the Mediterranean is known for. We focus on spice and complex flavor profiles through our expressive Mediterranean cuisine with a focus on the Levantine region.
Cafe Fili is a full service restaurant offering elevated dining, small plates, an incredible beverage program, and inviting ambience with knowledgeable and attentive staff.
We have another Fili in Baltimore, one in development and others planned for the next 2 years so there is definite room for career advancement. We work full time with a marketing company and will actively promote your culinary talents.
Job Overview:
Produce existing recipes and develop new creative items
Be able to meet company standards and maintain consistency
Responsible for cleanliness on all BOH areas
Maintain accurate recipes
Meet or exceed projected food cost, labor cost and other operating expenses
Requirements:
Be highly organized and have solid leadership skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to think on your feet and adapt to changing conditions
Able to hire, train, schedule, develop and motivate your staff
Produce excellent food quality, presentation and preparation
Manage and maintain food inventory
Computer Skills
ServeSafe Certification
3 year’s experience as a sous or executive chef
Culinary degree preferred but not required
