Lauded by Eater's National Restaurant Critic as "One of the most important Southern restaurants in the country," Chicago Tribune 3-star restaurant Big Jones has a rare opening for sous chef, and we are looking for a top flight candidate. Fine dining or chef-driven restaurant experience required, along with a relentless pursuit of excellence and perfection. Opportunity to work with whole animal butchering and charcuterie, among other delights.

This position will involve mostly daytime hours, with a couple evenings and no late nights. We believe in work/life balance with a maximum 50-hour work week, two consecutive days off every week, paid vacation, and sick leave. Affordable health/dental/vision insurance with company copay.

Must possess poise under pressure, an even temperament, the ability to expedite 200+ cover brunch services with multiple courses while maintaining the highest standards for plating and correct seasoning. Come help lead one of the city's best kitchens. 

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($50,000.00 - $55,000.00)
