Split-Rail is a 5-year-old, women- and queer-owned neighborhood restaurant located in Chicago on the border of Ukrainian Village and Humboldt Park. We offer fun takes on classic American dishes, and are known for our fried chicken. We strive to be a positive safe environment for all of our team members and guests.

We are seeking a full-time assistant manager to begin training as soon as possible. This position will be:

• Full-time (~45 hours a week, with more around the busiest times of year)
• Salaried, including benefits and bonuses after a waiting period

It's a great fit for someone who is a team player, goal-oriented, and a great problem-solver. The role will include running dinner and brunch services, guest interaction, and the management of the team on a daily basis. Additional duties may be determined over time.

This is a great entry-level management position for someone who's been in the restaurant industry for some time and is looking for their next step. Skills/knowledge should include:

• The ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• The ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Service & hospitality knowledge
• Basic wine & spirits knowledge
• Friendly, upbeat, and positive
• A genuine desire to provide great service
