After more than 8 years at the forefront of Denver's restaurant industry, Chefs Alex Seidel, Executive Chef Alex Astranti and Mercantile dining & provision are kicking off a new era beginning with this search for a Sous Chef to assist in leading our culinary operations at the restaurant in line with it's legacy, the company mission statement, and respective of the restaurant identity and service standards. This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits including paid time off, PAID health insurance, and upcoming bonus program.

Our ideal candidate has experience leading a kitchen and assisting in developing menus, an eagerness to work with Chef Astranti and expand their skill set and is seeking an opportunity to make their mark and lead Mercantile into the future. We expect all of our managers to model passion, positivity, and professionalism for staff and guests at all times in pursuit of our misson: we run restaurants that feel like home with a team that feels like family in order to provide quality service, food, and beverage for guests, and personal growth and professional development for employees.

Opened in 2014, Mercantile dining & provision is Chef Alex Seidel’s second restaurant, showcasing the craftsmanship of local farmers, producers, purveyors, and the professional skills of our team. Chef Seidel was the James Beard Award for Best Chef Southwest Award in 2018.  Chef Seidel is also the Chef owner of Fruition Restaurant (2007), 3 Chook Chicken locations (2018), Roca's Pizza and Pasta (2021) and another Mercantile at Denver International Airport (2022)

 

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($50,000.00 - $54,000.00) plus tips

Estimated Weekly Tips: $60
