Opening in Hudson River Park, Market 57 will be home to Nom Wah's newest fast-casual location. From second-generation owner Wilson Tang, this new outpost of the beloved Chinatown institution will serve Chinese American classics and rotating Cantonese specialties.
Tang aims to make dim sum an all-day casual affair—serving some of his own riffs on some of childhood favorites.
We seek an eager Kitchen Team Member with a commitment to upholding quality standards and aims to grow with our brand. The candidate is motivated to meet high levels of customer service, kitchen, and general business standards. Team members are expected to provide front facing service as well as perform back of house tasks and preparation.
Supervisor level positions available as well for candidates with an ability to lead a team in the described responsibilities and expectations.
Required Experience:
- Ability to perform basic food preparation with a strong understanding of quality and standards
- Strong customer service skills and commitment to providing a consistently excellent experience
- Consistent attention to detail, cleanliness, and organization
- Able to follow procedures, reliable, and accountable
- Team player that is willing to learn with positive attitude
- NYC Food Handler’s certificate a plus but not required
- Previous line cook, fast casual, cashier, and/or food hall experience a plus but not required
