Opened in 2009 by Chef Philippe Rispoli, hailing from Lyon, France, this bistro provides a taste of France in this coastal town. PB Boulangerie is perhaps the Cape’s best-kept secret – although it attracts scores and scores of customers who thrill to get their fill on the French la vie.
We are looking for the high-caliber, enthusiastic professionals to join the team.
As Administrative Assistant, you will work under the supervision of the Director of Adminsitration Tess LaVigne and collaborate directly with the other house Managers along with owners Philippe and Eliza Rispoli. The right individual will have a background of office and maketing work and must be able to effectively organize, communicate and promote. This is a year-round, full-time position, and an excellent opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in a nurturing environment. Owners Philippe and Eliza Rispoli have dedicated themselves to working with the best people and allowing them to grow in a positive environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work with Director of Adminstration to manage daily communication for business
- Monitor emails, phone calls, voicemail, paper mail and daily interaction with customers
- Assist with organization of office for bakery and bistro
- Works with entire to ensure restaurant delivers a maximum level of service and satisfaction.
- Assist with menu design and product display design
- Facilitates effective communication throughout the bakery. Creates a motivating environment.
- Creates marketing, promotion, and social media.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year work in office setting
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing or equivalent is strongly favored but not required.
- Knowledge of computer platforms inclusing Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, WordPress etc
- Knowledge of social media platforms
- Knowledge of website management
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships in all directions: ownership, co-workers, team members, and guests while listening and addressing concerns as needed.
- Must possess outstanding organizational, interpersonal skills, and excellent attention to detail.
- An outgoing team player with a positive attitude and problem-solving skills, willing to adapt and learn every day.
