Seeking Experienced Server

Cornerstone is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic server to join our growing team!

Join Cornerstone's exciting, culinary team as a server with the opportunity to grow as we expand. We are looking for a team member that shares the same dedication to our craft. We are willing to train passionate individuals and have them join our Cornerstone family.


Qualities

  • Prior experience in upscale restaurants, private clubs or high end resort/destination clubs with a  with 5+ years experience on hospitality
  • Proficiency and knowledge of classic cocktails with willingness to learn
  • Fundamental knowledge of wine grapes, styles and wine regions 
  • Strong customer service skills, multi-tasking, and professionalism are only a few of the qualities we are looking for to fill this important position on our Cornerstone team. Experience and knowledge is required.
  • Enjoy engaging with others, have an innovative and adventurous personality, and high sense of intuition – this role is perfect for you! 
  • $7/hr + estimated pooled tips with an average weekly tips of $1400-$1600

Cornerstone's menu highlights small plates, large plates, tasting menu, our cheese & charcuterie program, some of the best oysters from the east & west coast, fresh pasta and beautifully grilled meats & seafood. Nicholas Kondra, Executive Chef has over 4 years experience working on one of the oldest wood grill's in the country at the famed Straight Wharf Restaurant on Nantucket. 


Transportation: Located next to Paoli/Thorndale station, this commuter rail station is just steps away from our front door with accessible parking lots within walking distance in the western suburbs of Philadelphia at North Wayne Avenue. The following transit lines have routes that pass near Wayne, PA, Bus 106 and Subway NHSL.

Cornerstone has become quickly one of the most sought after restaurants in the Philadelphia after almost 9+years focusing on amazing guest experience pairing food with an award winning wine and cocktail program. Garnering many regional and national awards from Wine Spectator and Christine Kondra as Best Sommelier on the Mainline of Philadelphia.

Christine & Nicholas Kondra, owner & chefs + husband & wife team returned home after spending 10 years in Boston & Nantucket to open Cornerstone in the Fall of 2015. Christine working as a private chef & restaurant owned by the famed chef partners Jamie Bissonnette & Ken Oringer. Nick working his way up on the Nantucket & Boston restaurant scene, working at the famed Straight Wharf Restaurant (Nantucket) & Ten Tables in Harvard Square. Upon returning in Jan '14, Nick became the pasta chef at Amis under the well respected Brad Spence & Marc Vetri.
