ALL DAY is a nationally-awarded restaurant and specialty coffee bar in the Park West neighborhood of Miami. We are an intensely busy farm-to-table from-scratch restaurant and kitchen, with a focus on zero waste and sustainability. Excellence and integrity are non-negotiable. The Sous Chef is prepared to work with the Chef de Cuisine to lead the kitchen, inspire and develop the team, and is able to foster an environment of enthusiasm and professionalism, with a constant pursuit of excellence.
Qualities and Responsibilities:
- Strong leadership and team building skills; effective and clear communication; composure under pressure
- Knowledge of classic, modern, and regional cuisine; must have appreciation for eggs, with excitement to elevate the egg and daytime cuisine and a determination to be culinarily nationally and globally recognized
- Strong attention to detail, professionalism, sense of urgency, organizational skills, and efficiency
- Values excellence, integrity, determination, benevolence, and accountability
- Being inspired yourself; happy to be here and excited to carry out our vision
- Supporting the meticulous maintenance of our menu, including constant quality control
- Inspiring, leading & assisting the management of kitchen to execute menu, grow as professionals
- Second in command in overseeing the kitchen as an entity to be cared for, maintained, cleaned, organized. This includes systems, organization, equipment, inventory, etc.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years leadership experience in a progressive, culinary-driven, well-rated restaurant
- Degree in culinary arts is a plus
- Valid food safety manager card
