Shibumi is a traditional, seasonal, Japanese restaurant in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles.  Have the opportunity to learn under Michelin Star Excecutive Chef David Schlosser.
We prepare classic recipes and techniques from Japan, mainly popularized in the Edo period (1600-1900, pre-sushi boom). Knife skills and understanding of fermentation and umami will be mastered here.
We are a 42 seat restaurant. You will be working closely with your executive and sous chef and FOH staff.

We are currently open for dinner only, and you will have mornings for yourself!

What we are looking for:
- Japanese cuisine experience preferred
- Michelin level restaurant experience is a plus
- 2 years minimum in professional restaurant kitchen  or culinary school *We are excited to teach if you are eager to learn
- Valid Food Handlers Card
- Advanced knife skills
- Eager to learn
- Able to execute polished dishes in timely manner
- Great attitude
- Report to work neat and clean
