Objective

The door person position is essential in maintaining the flow of the property to ensure successful services every evening. Additionally, this person will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of staff members and guests alike. They are the bridge between facilitating positive guest experiences from the beginning of their stay here at Lake Street to the final goodbyes.

This position will work closely with front of house management 

Duties

• Greeting guests when they arrive on site
• Thoroughly checking proper identification of all guests who enter the premises
• Tracking the amount of guests inside the spaces to ensure we adequately adhere to capacity limits
• Vetting guests to ensure that no one person is overly intoxicated when they enter the business
• Working together with other members of the door team to properly control al exits and entrances throughout the evening
• Being present on the floor to be proactive in avoiding any problematic situations/behaviors
• Communicate with the bar team frequently to control flow of guests in and out
• Control the formation of lines outside the establishment and maintain order of the guests waiting to get in 
• Kindly but assertively clearing the spaces out at the end of the evening 
• Thanking guests as they depart for the evening 
• End of the night garbage takeout
• Ensuring all staff members leave at/around the same time in groups to ensure their safety
