Oxalis is a one Michelin star neighborhood bistro in Prospect Heights, just steps from the Brooklyn Museum. We are looking for passionate, warm, and professional Assistant Servers to join our team!

We are looking for Assistant Servers who:

• Have good communication skills
• Can develop a good rapport and personal relationships with guests
• Seek to work in a prideful work environment and maintain exceptional service standards
• Have a curiosity and desire to learn about producers, techniques, products, and grow with us
• Ability to learn quickly and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years fine dining restaurant experience in this role
• Ability to work/stand for 8-10 hours a day and to carry up to 20lbs occasionally
• Engaging with guests and colleagues in a genuine and professional manner in a high-energy and busy environment
• Maintaining integrity of service and proactive communication with team
• Maintaining a polished and professional floor presence and appearance
• Acting as a team player, supporting colleagues with mis-en-place, bussing, beverage service, etc. as necessary
• Preparing, studying, and maintaining an extensive knowledge of food and beverage
